On a visit you see the grandeur of the State Room also the Gold and Silver Collection, also the Georgian kitchen. The York Mansion House was started in 1725 and completed in 1732. --The last Royal visit was in 2012, when the Queen and Prince Phillip visited York.--The Lord Mayor of York is second only to the Lord Mayor of London in precedence.---The Mansion House is situated in St. Helens Square in the centre of York.and was built for the Lord Mayor of York to entertain important visitors. and was built 20 years before London"s Mansion House.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
